GENESIS EiR
IIMK LIVE, the Incubation Centre of IIM Kozhikode, is an Implementing Agency under the GENESIS (Gen-Next Support for Innovative Start-ups) program, an initiative by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
The program is designed to support and accelerate start-ups, particularly in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, by providing incubation support, industry collaborations, and a start-up grant of up to ₹10 lakhs. Startups should align with GENESIS objectives such as promoting technology-led entrepreneurship, creating jobs, fostering regional innovation hubs, and supporting sustainable and inclusive economic growth. This initiative provides a structured support system to help first-time entrepreneurs transition from idea validation to market success.
What we offer
Eligibility
The applicant must be an Indian citizen with age above 18 years at the time of application.
Emerging Technologies (AI, IoT, Blockchain, etc.)
The start-up idea must be original and not involve duplication of existing products /services.
The start-up must not have received an external funding exceeding Rs 10 lakhs including government grants and EiR support will be extended only once under GENESIS.
Entity must not be older than 1 year at the time of application
Applicants must be full-time UG/PG students with entrepreneurial pursuits or founders/co-founders of DPIIT-registered startups
(≤ 2 years old).
The EiR must be physically incubated at your centre and applicants from Tier II & III cities are eligible
Legal Compliance: If incorporated, startup should be registered as a Pvt. Ltd. company or LLP
