1. What is LIVE C2?

​

LIVE C2 is an accelerator program jointly promoted by IIMK LIVE and Ynos to support early stage startups in Fundraising. As part of this program shortlisted startups will undergo a three month accelerator program to support them in fundraising. Towards the end of the program, there shall be a demo day /Investor connect  which shall be attended by 50 plus angel networks/Venture Capitalist in the country. This is for the time in the country a demo day/Investor connect is planned with 50 plus investors.

2. What are the benefits that startups get from this program?

​

• Mentoring Support from Angel/VC Investors and from Business Experts.  

• Investor connect to 50 plus investors in the country

• Funding support up to Grants up to  1Mn USD

• Market access and Investor Connect

3. Can any startups apply for this program?

​

Yes. As this is a sector-agnostic accelerator program any startups above Minimum Viable Product Stage may apply for this program, however, the preference shall be given to startups with innovative products and at scale up stage with early traction.

4. Will all the startups selected under this program get funded?

​

No. The startups selected for the accelerator program will be given an opportunity to pitch to 50 plus investors in the country. The decision with regard to funding shall be made by the respective Angel/VC subjected to evaluation and recommendation by the investment committee.

5. How is the final demo day/Investor connect conducted?

​

Final demo day/Investor connect shall be conducted online. The startups selected in this program need not travel to IIM Kozhikode.

 

6. What will be format of the final demo day/Investor connect?

​

Toward the end of the accelerator program, an expert committee constituting investors shall rank the startups in the accelerator program based on certain parameters. Based on the ranking the startups will be given the opportunity to pitch to 50 investors participating in the final investor connect.

 

7. Is it a virtual or Physical Accelerator Program?

​

This acceleration program is structured as a hybrid accelerator program. Startups are not mandated to work physically from the accelerator space provided at LIVE.

8. How often are applications invited?

​

Applications for this program are invited only once a year. You may apply for the program directly through the IIMK LIVE website www.iimklive.org 

​

9. Can I be eligible to apply if my startup has received grants/awards/equity investments, etc.?

​

Yes. You are eligible to apply if your startup has already received grants/awards/ investments from other agencies. This would add value to your startup in many ways.

​

10. What are the main parameters you consider while evaluating a startup?

​

A unique, innovative solution with a strong team and early traction will be considered in the evaluation and selection.  Finally, all the decisions concerning the evaluation and selection of startups for this program shall be based on the recommendations of the selection committee constituted at the centre.
 

11. What are the eligibility requirements for applying to the Live C2 Program?  

​

Applicants need to match the following:

• You have a start-up entity registered and based in India.

• Your innovative product/solution is ready for commercialization.

• Start-ups with innovative products/solutions and with early traction in terms of customer and revenue will be given preference

 

12. Can I submit multiple applications for this program?

​

No. Multiple applications are not allowed for this program. Your first application will be considered as the final application for evaluation.

 

13. I am not associated with IIM Kozhikode as a student/ alumni/ faculty member. Can I apply for the Accelerator Program?

​

Yes. You may apply for the program.

 

14. I am a student/ alumni/ faculty member of IIM Kozhikode. Do I still need to apply for the LIVE C2 Accelerator Program?

​

Yes. There is only one admissions process for all applicants. IIMK students/ alumni/ faculty may get priority, subject to the merit of the business idea.
 

15. I am already an incubatee of IIMK LIVE; should I again apply for this program?

​

Yes. You may have to apply for this program separately, and you will be part of the selection process.

​

16. Is there an application fee?

​

LIVE makes an effort to find, support, and grow early-stage social entrepreneurs who can build high-impact sustainable organizations and doesn’t charge any fee for this program.

 

17. Number of evaluation rounds?

​

There will be two rounds of evaluation.  After the initial selection, shortlisted startups will be invited to make a short pitch in front of the final selection committee. Only the startups recommended by the selection committee will be part of the accelerator program and for the final demo day.
 

18. What will be the total intake for the program?

​

The total intake for this program shall be 30 startups pan India. However the intake may vary based on the recommendation of the selection committee constituted by IIMK LIVE.

 

19. How and where will the pitching round be held?

​

The pitching process will be held virtually. 

 

20. How will I know about the result of each round?

​

IIMK LIVE will inform you of the status of the application via email to your registered email ID.

 

21. What is the duration of the accelerator program ?

​

The duration of the accelerator program shall be for 3 months

 

22. How can sensitive information about my startup be protected?

​

Information related to each startup will be highly confidential at the center. Details of the startup will be shared only with the selection committee. 

 

23. Do all the applicants to this program will have opportunity to pitch to angel/V investors?

​

No only the selected top 30 startups will have the opportunity to be part of the accelerator program and then will have the opportunity to pitch to the investors.

 

24. Is this accelerator program sector and function-agnostic?

​

LIVE seeks to develop resources to focus on a few thrust areas so that it can provide intensive support and services to startups as part of the accelerator program. At this juncture, it would not restrict applicants based on technology/sectoral focus hence it is a sector-agnostic accelerator program. 

 

25. Does IIMK LIVE guarantee the presence of 50 Plus investors in the final demo day?

​

IIMK LIVE has already received the confirmation from 50 plus investors to be part of the final demo day. Nonetheless IIMK LIVE cannot guarantee the presence of all the 50 investors in the final demo day. It shall make all the best efforts to bring 50 plus investor in the final demo day. In case if few investors are not part of the final demo day, the details of the startups shall be shared with these investors for further evaluation and considering them for investment.

26. If the startup gets selected to this program will they receive funding under this program?

​

Please note that the selection of startup in this Accelerator Program doesn't guarantee funding support, the funding support is subjected to recommendation by the investment committee constituted by the respective agencies.
